HiFridge is fridge management and
cooking communication app.
Because of the COVID-19 lockdown, the time people spend at home becomes much longer than before. People get more chance to cook at home.
I recognized that the process of cooking is more than processing the ingredients. It is a time for people to talk to themselves and to focus on one thing entirely. Cooking can also build a connection between people and in some ways.
However, the challenge of cooking may diminish their passion day by day. A solution to hold people interested in cooking is needed.

I interviewed about 30 people from different age-group, gender, and living situation.

There are many factors that cause people to lose their enthusiasm for cooking. The biggest issue is time. Taking too much time preparing the ingredient, looking for the perfect recipe, and cleaning the expired items in the fridge are reasons that make the time on cooking longer.
Therefore, how to shorten the time spent on cooking is a problem that needs to be solved.

Information Architecture
To recommend the most suitable recipe for the user, HiFridge enables user to input what kind of kitchenwares they have and what flavor they preferred.

Friend's page
Users can manage privacy settings to allow friends to view the food in their refrigerator.
Simply scan the receipt with your phone, HiFridge records all food you bought, and you could enter the expired dates. Easy and convenient!

Your friends can create a recipe for you through the app based on what you have in your fridge. So do you!
Daily Recipe
Depend on the kitchenwares the user has, the food ingredients in the fridge, the preferred taste, and even consider the weather, the app will recommend a perfect recipe for the user.
Shopping List
A notification will pop up when the user inputs an item that already existed in the fridge.
